Start the seavis System Builder.

Activate edit mode (see Activating edit mode).

Open the installation wizard (see Installation wizard: Open).

Select the operating system and the HMI program (see Installation wizard: Selection of the necessary data).

Sending the data to Transcend 16GB Jetflash 300 USB stick (see Installation wizard: Selection of the target device).

Make the backup just created on the USB stick installation-capable (see Managing the USB stick and producing an installation-capable USB stick).

Safely remove the USB stick from your computer.

Disconnect the HMI from the voltage.

Insert the USB stick into the USB port (USB 1) on the rear of the HMI.

Restore the power supply of the HMI.
Important
Under no circumstances should you switch off the HMI or disconnect it from the power supply during the following updating processes.

The operating system is updated automatically if necessary.
Under certain circumstances, the window for calibrating the touch screen appears (see HMIxxe: Calibrating the touch screen).

The HMI displays the question as to whether you wish to perform a HMI update. Confirm this update.

After completion of the installation, the HMI boots normally and launches the HMI program.

If the HMI has not yet been licensed, refer to HMI licensing.
