FSC configuration for digital inputs

Parameter

Description

Defines the assignment of the safety-oriented digital inputs of the FSC.

If not all the input signals of an FSC input configuration are used, these must be connected according to the notices in the footnotes.

Below, you can see all possible input signals:

Safety interlock circuit before fan start

Safety-oriented input for connecting the monitors and limiters required for start-up and operation of the combustion air fan.

Safety interlock circuit after fan start

Safety-oriented input for connecting the monitors and limiters required for protecting the heat generator.

Note

If the safety interlock circuit is not included in the FSC input configuration after fan start, then monitoring of the safety interlock circuit monitors and limiters must take place in the following safety interlock circuits after fan start:

  • Safety interlock circuit before fan start

  • Safety interlock circuit fuel 1, fuel 2, fuel 3

Safety interlock circuit fuel 1

Safety-oriented input for connecting the monitors and limiters required for fuel 1. If fuel 1 is a gas, then this safety interlock circuit must be connected so that the gas valve test can start.

Safety interlock circuit fuel 2

Safety-oriented input for connecting the monitors and limiters required for fuel 2. If fuel 2 is a gas, then this safety interlock circuit must be connected so that the gas valve test can start.

Safety interlock circuit fuel 3

Safety-oriented input for connecting the monitors and limiters required for fuel 3. If fuel 3 is a gas, then this safety interlock circuit must be connected so that the gas valve test can start.

Safety interlock circuit for atomization

Safety-oriented input for connecting the monitors and limiters required for blow out of the oil gun.

Note

The monitors and limiters monitored in the atomization safety interlock circuit do not need to be monitored additionally in the fuel-related safety interlock circuits for oil operation.

Safety-oriented input for connection of the monitors and limiters of the safety interlock circuit operation.

Combustion air pressure monitor MIN

Safety-oriented input for connection of the combustion air pressure monitor MIN.

Gas pressure monitor MIN fuel 1

Safety-oriented input for connection of the gas pressure monitor MIN fuel 1. The gas pressure monitor MIN is also used for testing the gas valves for fuel 1, if separate inputs for the pressure monitor VPS test pressure aren't available.

Pressure monitor VPS test pressure MIN fuel 1

Safety-oriented input for connection of the pressure monitor VPS test pressure MIN fuel 1.

Pressure monitor VPS test pressure MAX fuel 1

Safety-oriented input for connection of the pressure monitor VPS test pressure MAX fuel 1.

Gas pressure monitor MIN fuel 2

Safety-oriented input for connection of the gas pressure monitor MIN. The gas pressure monitor MIN is also used for testing the gas valves for fuel 2, if separate inputs for the pressure monitor VPS test pressure aren't available.

Pressure monitor VPS test pressure MAX fuel 2

Gas pressure monitor MIN fuel 3

Safety-oriented input for connection of the gas pressure monitor MIN. The gas pressure monitor MIN is also used for testing the gas valves for fuel 3, if separate inputs for the pressure monitor VPS test pressure aren't available.

Flame signal 1

Safety-oriented input for connection of the first flame detection system.

Flame signal 2

Safety-oriented input for connection of the second flame detection system.

Contactors / NC contact circuit

Safety-oriented input for monitoring the closing contact circuit when using diverse redundant contactor combinations.

Purge suppression

Safety-oriented input for purge deactivation.

Release flue gas recirculation

If a compound channel is used for flue gas recirculation:

Safety-oriented input for the flue gas recirculation release.

External purge position reached

Safety-oriented input for monitoring the external purge position.

External ignition position reached

Safety-oriented input for monitoring the external ignition position.

Support mode waste incineration plants

If the plant type is a waste incineration plant:

Safety-oriented input for switching between start-up mode (= OFF) and support mode (= ON).

Blow-out valve open

Must be connected if automatic blow out of the oil gun is activated (Automatic blow out = 1).

If automatic blow out of the oil gun is activated:

Safety-oriented input for monitoring the blow-out valve position.

Primary air pressure MIN

Safety-oriented input for connecting the primary air pressure monitor MIN on rotary cup atomizer burner in oil operation.

Oil pressure monitor MIN

Safety-oriented input for connecting the oil pressure monitor MIN in oil operation.

Safe ignition enable

Safety-oriented input for the ignition release.

Burner- On

Input for the switch which switches the burner on or off.

Select operation mode

Input for switching between operation mode 1 (A) with fuel 1 (= OFF) and operation mode 2 (B) with fuel 2 (= ON).
