Handling

Switching between local / remote operation

You can choose any one of the following methods to control the burner:

  • Local operation

The burner can only be operated locally via the HMI or via digital contacts.

  • Remote operation

The burner can only be operated via external input signals (BUS communication and/or direct control via contacts).

It is possible to switch between local and remote operation.

If switching between local and remote operation is enabled and communication is routed via the bus, then pulse signals should be adjusted in the configuration.

Example

Pushbutton / switch

When changeover via a switch is selected, the following case may occur:

The switch is set to "Burner OFF". Remote operation is active and the burner is in operation. On switching to local operation the burner would be automatically stopped (because switch = "Burner OFF").

When you are choosing between impulse (pushbutton) and continuous (switch) signals, it is advisable to select an impulse signal.

Note

Remote operation

The corresponding input and output channels only have to be configured when the signals aren't used via signal exchange with the control system and the signals are transmitted through hardware contacts.
