Automatic firing sequence controller and compound control system

The following chapters describe the configuration of the automatic firing sequence controller and the compound control system.

Overview of the seavis components

Automatic firing sequence controller

The automatic firing sequence controller comprises the complete logic for fully automatic control system and monitoring of burners for liquid (oil burners), gaseous (gas burners) and combines fuels (combined oil/gas burners).

The automatic firing sequence controller comprises:

  • Purging program with/without flue gas recirculation

  • Ignition/stop program for gas burners and oil burners as rotary cup, pressure or steam pressure atomizers

  • Valve monitoring system for gas valves

  • Automatic and manual blow-out of steam pressure atomizer oil gun

  • Ignition with ignition flame or direct ignition

  • Extraneous light test and flame monitoring on main and ignition flame signals

  • Analysis of the safety interlock circuits for gas operation, oil operation, etc.

  • Analysis of safety-related input signals for combustion air pressure, gas pressure, etc.

  • Control of safety-related output signals for ignition transformer, fuel valves, etc.

Compound control

The compound control system comprises:

  • 8 compound participants

  • FSM / permanent channels with position feedback

  • Permanent position monitoring

  • Monitoring of individual operating states

FSC parameter

The automatic firing sequence controller and the compound control system are configured using the 1000 series and 2000 series parameters. You can adjust the 1000 series parameters to TRUE or FALSE. You can set the 2000 series parameters to values within a defined range.

In System Builder, some of the parameters are adjusted together (e.g. Purge suppression)
