Analog channels: Test value

You can define temporary test values for the channel with this function. This always affects the signal target:

  • For analog inputs: The physical value.

  • For analog outputs: The raw value.

The test value overwrites the current status of the channel (including the constant value function).

The test value function is operated on the HMI.

Note

Unlike the constant value function, the test value of the channels is not saved when the HMI configuration is backed up.

  1. Activate the test value function by selecting "ON" in the "Test ON" field.

    Note

As soon as the test value function for the current or another channel is active, this is indicated on the HMI as follows:

The displayed current value of the channel is highlighted in red

  2. Enter the test value in the "Test value" field:

    Analog input channel

Unlike the constant value function, the real value of the signal is not entered in digits to enter the real value. Instead it is entered as a physical value (for example °C).

    Analog output channel

For an analog output signal (raw value), the test value corresponds to the real output value. That means you must enter the value in digits.

The entered test value is applied as the current value and is made available by the channel until you deactivate the test value function again (Test ON field = "OFF").

  3. If several channels use the test function, you can disable it for all channels simultaneously. To do this, press "Reset" in the "All Test" field.

The displayed current value of the analog channel is highlighted again in white.

The symbol is no longer displayed in the header.
