Controller: Setpoints

The different setpoints can be used to affect operation of the controller.

In seavis, the controller setpoints can be adjusted as follows:

Setpoint W2

An example of using a second setpoint is heat retention mode for a boiler during a drop in production on the weekend. The digital input channel then indicates that the weekend has arrived and setpoint W2, which may be lower, should be enabled for the load controller.

Setpoint W3

The external setpoint setting W3 is used for batch production, for example, to achieve a desired temperature depending on the batch. The external setpoint is specified by a higher-level control system. It is either continually active or is activated by the signal of a channel.

Setpoint scheduler S (load controller only)

A week scheduler that makes it possible to define up to 4 time windows for each of the seven days of the week, during which different setpoints can be specified, for example.

W1 tracking

When the tracking function is enabled, the last external setpoint used will apply if there is an interruption in communication to the control and communication system. It replaces setpoint W1. It is not possible to change W1 with this function as long as the W3 signal is error-free.

Setpoint correction (W correction)

During the setpoint correction, the correction value is added to the setpoint and can therefore be changed within a limited, approved range.
