Blow down

Cyclical opening of a valve to remove dirt from the boiler.

The "Sludge removal" and "Skimming" functions are identical in functional terms and are referred to below as "Cleaning".

The process is always triggered either manually or automatically and then runs for an adjusted time. The process can only be canceled via the HMI button or in the absence of the external release. The visualization for sludge removal / skimming is accessed via the tile overview VISU.

Automatic according to time

The start can be performed automatically after a configurable time interval has expired. The time until the next cleaning process starts running if the burner fires. The time that has already elapsed is also recorded by means of a voltage reset.

Manual starting

The function can be manually started independently of local and remote operation. It is always possible to start the process via HMI DI or BUS signal. If a manual start was performed, the time for the automatic start is reset.

The configurable time interval that defines the time between two automatic cleaning processes merely serves as an aid to the user during purely manual cleaning. It is possible to adjust a time so that the user is better able to estimate when it is time to trigger the process again manually.
