Only the igniter is in operation in heat retention mode. This allows the burner to be ignited quickly, e.g. without purge sequence.
The following operation mode change is possible:

Switching from controlled operation with fuel 1 or 2 to heat retention mode

Switching the fuel selection in heat retention mode

Switching from heat retention mode to controlled operation with fuel 1 or 2

Switching from heat retention mode to burner OFF

Switching from burner OFF to heat retention mode
