In unfavorable pairings of the tolerance position of capacitor and winding resistance, the directional stability of the synchronous motors can be adversely affected. We therefore recommend, as an immediate measure, to increase the capacitance of the capacitor to 1 μF with the enclosed kit.

Installation is to be carried out as follows:

1. De-energize the drive by removing the drive connectors.

2. Remove the hood.

3. Cut the cable of the built-in capacitor at a distance of approx. 40 mm from the condenser and shorten the protective hose.

4. Unscrew the capacitor.

5. Strip the strands remaining on the drive approx. 10 mm.

6. Screw in the replacement capacitor, align the capacitor strands in the direction of the drive center, and lock the nut with the open-end wrench.

   

7. Connect one capacitor strand each to a cut strand using the enclosed connection terminals.

8. Fasten the connection terminals to the motor cable with the enclosed cable tie.

9. Fasten the drive-side cable to the hood bolt with the enclosed cable tie.

   

10. Fit drive hood.

11. Connect drive plug.
