Maximum load difference fuel > air

Parameter

Description

Defines the maximum load difference by which the fuel setpoint can exceed the air setpoint.

This parameter is set at the factory. Change these parameters only after consultation with the electrical design department of SAACKE.

Fuel / air setpoint development in case of load changes

X

Time in s

Y

Load setpoint in digit

A

Compound control system load setpoint

B

Air channel load setpoint

C

Fuel channel load setpoint

For small load changes, the load difference has virtually no influence on the fuel/air setpoints and the channels run almost in parallel.

With large positive load changes, the fuel setpoint is reduced by the minimum load difference compared to the air setpoint.

With large negative load changes, the air setpoint is increased by the minimum load difference compared to the fuel setpoint.

The maximum load difference limits the air excess during long periods of continuous load changes if

  • the air channels follow an increasing load faster than the fuel channels or

  • the fuel channels follow a decreasing load faster than the air channels

The load difference between the fuel and air setpoint is calculated dynamically depending on the speed of the load change.
